What is the Ghost Tour?
The Ghost Tour is a fun and entertaining tour exploring the seldom-told stories hidden deep in Pennsylvania Dutch folklore, with costumed guides leading the way by lantern light. Combining history, folklore and ghost stories, the haunting tales told on the tour are based on the book Ghost Stories of Lancaster, PA.
What is the difference between the Ghost Tour in Strasburg and the Ghost Tour in Lancaster city?
The tours are similar in style but different in content. Both locations are colonial-era towns with rich histories, with Lancaster being the larger of the two. Lancaster is approximately nine miles away from Strasburg. Both tours visit 8 to 10 haunted locations and include ghost stories of historic cemeteries.

Yes.

Online or over the phone with a credit card by calling 717-687-6687. Please note: Tickets are not interchangeable between locations.
Are tickets refundable? No.
What time should we get there?
Arrive 10 minutes before tour time.
How much walking is involved?
- Strasburg: The tour covers a six block area and is less than a mile of walking.
- Lancaster: The tour covers an eight block area and is less than a mile of walking.
What should we wear?
Wear weather appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes. What happens if it rains? We make every attempt to conduct the tours therefore, we do go in the rain. (So bring an umbrella!) If weather conditions become severe, the tour may be cancelled. This decision is typically made at tour time. Cancelled tours may be rescheduled or refunded.
What is your refund policy?
Tickets for the Strasburg tour are non-refundable.
What are the average sizes of the tours?
- Strasburg: Tour sizes are limited to 14 people. As one tour time fills up, another is added. For groups of 15 or more, please see our Lancaster tour information.
- Lancaster: Tour sizes are limited and additional guides are called in as needed.
